Mpumalanga Black Aces have confirmed the contract extensions of at least five of their players as they prepare for the 2014/15 season.
AmaZayoni finished in incredible 7th place on the Absa Premiership table, in what was their first season in the PSL. Clive Barker is looking to keep the core of the squad that at different stages of the campaign brought the likes of Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns to their knees.
The Siya crew recently revealed that Mbulelo Mabizela and Clifford Ngobeni have renewed their respective deals with the side, and now the club have confirmed that on their official website.
“Clifford Ngobeni, Sandile Zuke, Bafana Nhlapo, Mbulelo Mabizela and Esau Mtsweni have all extended their stay at Aces. The rest of the team still have long to mid-term contracts with the club and negotiations with a few players are underway,” said the club.
Meanwhile, Aces will be reporting for preseason on June 23, after which the entire squad will travel to Nelspruit on June 26 for a physically intensive training camp. “We can confirm that we will be inviting national team players from Cameroon, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya and Mozambique for trials during the pre-season for assessment with the hope of sealing a few deals,” added AmaZayoni.
