Mamelodi Sundowns striker Fiston Abdul Razak has thrown his weight behind coach Pitso Mosimane and is confident he can prove his doubters wrong.
Mosimane came under fire from a certain section of Downs supporters when his side looked to be heading to 2-2 draw against Ajax Cape Town in the league last week.
However, Anthony Laffor was able to grab a late winner in that game and with the Brazilians recording a win over Jomo Cosmos in their subsequent match played on the weekend, their season looks as though it has taken a turn for the better.
Razak has indicated that Mosimane remained confident that results would come and exuded a calmness about the situation at the club, as well as encouraged his players to remain level headed.
“I know that Coach Pitso is a strong man and a professional who knew that the results would come. He advised us to keep our cool and focus on the job at hand and that is what we did,” Razak told Soccer Laduma.
“Pressure is the name of the game and, all over the world, sometimes supporters voice their displeasure in a certain manner. My duty is to score goals and forget about politics.”
Do you think that Mosimane has turned things around at Downs or does he still have a way to go in proving he is the right man to be leading the club?
