The new domestic season in South Africa is just a couple weeks away, but there has already been a coaching casualty before the campaign starts.
News reaching the Siya crew is that Allan Freese and Richards Bay FC have parted ways before the GladAfrica Championship campaign has even begun.
It has been indicated that there has been impasse with the way the club and Freese want to move forward heading into the new season.
Freese had signed a two-year deal at Richards Bay in June with the hoping of guiding the team to the DStv Premiership, but his reign with the club has now come to an end.
The 65-year-old tactician was in charge of the side during the Premier Soccer League promotion/relegation play-offs but they finished second as Chippa United retained their top-flight status.
The Natal Rich Boyz begin their GladAfrica Championship campaign with a trip to the Tsakane Stadium to take on Jomo Cosmos on Sunday, 22 August.
