It’s now over three years since the Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was shot – the much-loved went on to die from his wounds – though there has still been nobody brought to justice by the SAPS.
The topic of Meyiwa’s murder has been brought up once again this month after a parody Twitter account, @AdvBarryRoux, revealed alleged facts about the night of the goalkeeper’s passing.
Now, with public still hoping to see justice for the former Buccaneer, there have been calls for the authorities to up their efforts to identify and find his killer.
Mbalula, who took to his Twitter page, insisted that they are doing all they can.
He said, “We are working very hard to find Senzo’s killers. If anyone has into please approach saps and ministry by all means necessary.”
Meyiwa was killed in Vosloorus in October 2014.
