The Angolan national team head coach, Gustavo Ferrin, is high in morale going into Wednesday’s Africa Cup of Nations tie with Bafana Bafana at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Speaking to Soccer-Laduma, Ferrin said that all the teams in Group A are on level points after the first round of fixtures and they all have an equal opportunity of progressing past the group stage.
He told the Siya crew that he is confident that his team will perform against the host nation, South Africa.
“Playing against Morocco, no one gave us the chance of even a draw. We played well and missed a lot of chances, which could have won us the game.
“Now that we are playing the host, we have to raise up our game, but we know we all had draws in the first game and a win will be an advantage to us. Actually both teams will be looking for a win because that will take them up.
“I think we did well against Morocco and if we can do the same against South Africa, and score, the chances we create, then it will be a different game with a different result," Ferrin concluded.
