Ferreira’s Injury Not Too Serious

Word coming out of the Mpumalanga Black Aces camp is that the injury suffered by defender Eduardo Ferreira is not too serious and the Brazilian will return to action soon.

Ferreira suffered the injury during last night’s Telkom Knockout Last 16 clash against Orlando Pirates, which Aces lost 3-1. The Brazilian centre back was replaced by Thabang Rooi in the last five minutes of the first half.

Aces' Media Liaison Officer, Gordon Masondo, confirmed to the Siya crew that Ferreira will be back in action sooner rather than later.

“It is not a serious injury and he should be fine to resume training with the club soon. Remember, we’re not in action this weekend because it’s an international week.

"We’re also out of the Telkom Knockout, so that will give Eduardo plenty of time to recuperate. He should be ready to play in our next match,” said Masondo.

Aces’ next game is against Platinum Stars in the league on Tuesday, 22 October.
