Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Fares Hachi has signed a deal with a top-flight club to complete his return to Mzansi.
As reported by the Siya crew, the 30-year-old left-back has been keen on a return to Mzansi and as now confirmed by his representative Herve Tra Bi, the Algerian has penned a deal with Maritzburg United.
“Fares Hachi, the former Mamelodi Sundows defender, has signed with Maritzburg United. He has signed a two-year contract plus a one-year option to extend,” confirmed the intermediary.
“As TNB Sports Agency Management, I can confirm that my client Hachi Fares is very happy to join Maritzburg United FC. On behalf of my client, we thank the boss Farook Kadodia and coach Eric Tinkler for this opportunity,” he added.
Following his departure from Sundowns in July 2018, Hachi went on to sign with MC Algier back home, before he joined Sporting Club de Lyon in France in November last year.
