Chippa United have welcomed Thembinkosi Fanteni to their training grounds, as Mark Harrison’s side looks to further strengthen the team for the 2013/14 season.
Fanteni has been unlucky in his search for a club in the PSL since he was deemed surplus to requirements at Wits at the end of last season.
The striker had unsuccessful trials at AmaZulu and Bloemfontein Celtic respectively. Soccer-Laduma recently revealed that the former Ajax Cape Town player was keeping fit with Wits’ academy in Johannesburg.

The Paarl-born player is hoping to impress Harrison and his technical team for a chance to resurrect his career in the Mother City, while playing alongside his friend and captain of the side, Andile Mbenyane.
Still with the Chilli Boys, the club has decided against signing Lizo Mjempu after the left-back trained with the side.
The former Orlando Pirates and Moroka Swallows player confirmed to the Siya crew that he is on his way back to Johannesburg to plan what he will be doing next in his search for a new club.
