Former Ajax Cape Town star striker Terror Fanteni is still in Johannesburg and training with Wits’ academy as he plans the next move in his career.
The 29-year-old marksman burst onto the scene in 2005, after having amassed more than 500 goals for Mother City in the lower ranks. He made a name for himself at the Urban Warriors and also had mixed fortunes playing for Maccabi Haifa in Israel, Orlando Pirates and Wits up in Jo’burg.
Recently he had trial stints with AmaZulu and Bloemfontein Celtic, both of whom failed to yield positive results. However, the latest news reaching the Siya crew is that Fanteni is still in Jozi.
When the crew caught up with the player, he said, “I’ve got my clearance with me, but I’m still training with Wits in the meantime just to keep fit while I’m sorting out some issues. It is important to keep fit even if you’re clubless so that you are not found wanting when you join a new club.”
