Madida And Swallows Part Ways

The Siya crew can confirm that Moroka Swallows and their head coach Fani Madida have parted ways.

Madida announced his resignation to the club on Monday, and the news was confirmed to Soccer Laduma by a disappointed Leon Prins, who said the club and Madida part on good terms.

After taking over as caretaker coach late last year from Zeca Marques, Madida was confirmed as the head coach just last month, but lasted just five weeks in the role.

During that five week period, Swallows won just one of the seven games they played, losing six (five in the league, and one Nedbank Cup defeat).

With a mid-week game coming up against Kaizer Chiefs, it is yet to be seen who will be on the bench for the Birds.
