Maritzburg Happy With Maboe Replacement

Maritzburg United’s Fadlu Davids is happy to have landed Keletso Makgalwa as a direct replacement for Lebohang Maboe following his move to Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Masandawana starlet scored on his Team of Choice debut earlier this week as they went down 2-1 to Free State Stars, just days after completing his move to Pietermaritzburg as part of Maboe’s switch to Chloorkop.
Makgalwa made his Absa Premiership debut last season for the Brazilians as he made four appearances in all competitions, although he will now be hoping to really make an impact in South African football during his loan with last year’s Nedbank Cup finalists.
Davids, who is reeling from the loss of the league’s Young Player of the Player, believes that their new signing could be a perfect replacement for the Bafana Bafana international.
Speaking to the club’s official website about his new signing, he said, “He is definitely the kind of player that will fit in here. He is what we require after losing a player like Lebo.
“He impressed after a few training sessions, and managed to work well with our players, so it is an addition that will add value to the squad.”
Maritzburg face Cape Town City this afternoon as they aim for a place in the MTN8 semi-finals.
