Chiefs continued their poor run of results, that has seen them go without a win in the league since 27 April, after drawing to Platinum Stars last week Wednesday and the 39-year-old has said that it comes down to the players, when discussing how to turn their results around.
“The players also need to show their quality on the pitch, their commitment and their determination,” he told Soccer Laduma. “I always say that if you bring someone off the bench, he will be watching the game and when he comes in the coach gives him instructions, and he needs to take the game to the next level to show that the team wants to win.”
No Goal-line Technology For SA After Chiefs Incident
The former Bafana Bafana player went on to acknowledge, however, that Chiefs were unlucky to have Platinum Stars’ controversial goal awarded against them, but that Dikwena came into the game with a clear game plan and it worked.
“It was unlucky with the goal that the referee allowed, it wasn’t a goal,” he continued. “But they still allowed them to take shots at goal and you could see (Platinum Stars) were out there to get an early goal and then to just defend and walk away with a point."
