Kannemeyer Names & Explains His Favourite For Amakhosi Job
Ex-Kaizer Chiefs Defender Calls On Coach To Earn Amakhosi Coaching Gig
A former Kaizer Chiefs star has called on the club to hand Patrick Mabedi the head coach's job on a permanent basis ahead of the new PSL season.
Amakhosi are currently in the hunt for a new coach following Steve Komphela's resignation at the end of last term, with Mabedi having been brought in on an interim basis for the final few games of that campaign.
Chiefs have now been hard at work in the off-season putting together a list of potential candidates, but former Kaizer Chiefs defender, David Kannemeyer believes the Glamour Boys already have the perfect option in their midst.

"I think Chiefs should give Patrick (Mabedi) the go-ahead, he knows the culture of the club," Kannemeyer told the Siya crew, "he's not new to the club as well.
"I think it's going to be a difficult one to bring someone completely from the outside."
Whoever eventually takes over the reins, Kannemeyer believes there are a few key areas the new coach will need to focus on in his first few weeks in the Naturena hottest.
"I think to get the squad settled down early," is what Kannemeyer pinpointed as a key area, before suggesting the club turn to the transfer market to bring in a clinical striker.
"Obviously, I don't know what kind of signings Chiefs are going to make, but I think they need a lethal striker at this point in time," he said.
"A striker that is going to put the ball in the back of the net, and I think that's been lacking for the last three seasons: they've been playing well, but they can't score goals.
"Goals make you win games, and goals make you win championships."
