Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Esrom Nyandoro, does not look likely to have a future with the club although he was recently earmarked for a position within their set-up.
Nyandoro spent just over a decade at Chloorkop but with his contract with the Brazilians expiring at the end of last season, it looks as if though he will no longer be part of the club.
In the wake of his contract not being renewed it looked as though the 35-year-old would be rewarded for his loyalty with a management position at Downs, however a Siya source has indicated that this no longer seems to be the case.
“When they didn’t extend or renew his contract, they promised him that they would employ him within the management. At that time they were saying that everything concerning Esrom would be dealt with by President Patrice Motsepe, but now he is not in the picture and everyone is being quiet about it,” the source explained.
“He (Esrom) is also not bothering them because he is running his own business. You know the good thing with him is that he started his own business while he was still playing, so even if they don’t employ him, he will still be okay,” the source concluded.
Do you think Nyandoro will end up back in football, considering his vast knowledge and experience of the game? Where would you like to see him?
