Speaking at a press conference in Tunis ahead of Saturday’s second leg semi-final, Kanzari said that he got the satisfaction that he needed from the team that played in the first leg.
But with star defender Khaled Mouelhi out injured, Kanzari will be forced to make at least one change from the team that played at Orlando Stadium.
Meanwhile, Esperance midfielder Oussama Darragi is hoping that his side will beat Pirates and go through to the final of the Champions League, where they could possibly get a chance to avenge last season’s defeat by Al Ahly in last season’s final.
Following Ahly’s 1-1 away draw against Coton Sport in the other semi-final first leg, this year’s final could see Ahly and Esperance competing for the title. “It’s the match everyone’s waiting for,” Darragi told FIFA.com.
“We’re used to facing them now, whether it’s in the group stage, semi-final or final. If we end up playing them again this year, it means another final appearance and we’re ready to rise to the challenge and get revenge,” added Darragi.
Esperance need a win to reach the final of this lucrative competition, because a scoring draw will see Pirates going through on the away goal rule.
