Ajax Cape Town have been dealt a major blow after their head coach, Muhsin Ertugral, handed in his resignation.
The Siya crew can exclusively reveal that the Turkish mentor has submitted his resignation to the Urban Warriors, with their CEO, Ari Efstathiou, regretfully accepting.
Ertugral confirmed to the crew that he had resigned from the post in Cape Town for personal reasons, and that he would be leaving the club with immediate effect.
The 54-year-old recently suffered a family bereavement, with his foster father, Adnan Senses, passing away in Turkey.
Ajax, who are placed eighth on the PSL log, will now be on the hunt for a new head coach that will be able to come in and continue to good work that Ertugral has done in Cape Town this season.
The Siya crew will continue to monitor the situation at Ikamva as Ajax search for Ertugral’s successor.
