Ajax Cape Town head coach Muhsin Ertugral is confident that his team has enough depth to deal with Toriq Losper’s injury.
Losper sustained a knee injury in the Urban Warriors’ 2-1 defeat to AmaZulu at Cape Town Stadium last Sunday and was subsequently replaced by Keagan Dolly.
Ajax started the match against AmaZulu with Abbubaker Mobara (19),Travis Graham (20) and Toriq Losper (21) in central midfield, with Dolly (20) replacing Losper. Although the coach has got a young midfield, there is some experienced reinforcements on the way to guide Ertugral’s young trio, in the form of Granwald Scott and Lance Davids.
The Ajax Cape Town head coach told the Siya crew that the two more experienced midfielders are both close to returning to full fitness.
Ertugral told Soccer-Laduma, “Tokkie (Losper) had an operation on his knee today, so he’ll be out for some time. I’m positive he will recover quite well. We do have Scotty back who has already started training with the team and Lance Davids who will start training with us next week.”
