Njabulo Blom was confirmed as the Amakhosi’s latest promoted player earlier this week, penning a four-year deal at Naturena as he looks to take the step up from Multichoice Diski Challenge to Premier Soccer League.
Though he’s played his youth career – for both club and country – primarily as a centre back, Middendorp has revealed that he can foresee a change of role now that he’s moved up the ranks into the senior side.

Speaking to the club’s official website this week, the German revealed, “He could come handy in the holding midfield role… It is, for a coach, nice to have such a flexible player in the squad. He is a very interesting player with a good profile.”
Having recently named the likes of Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Emmanuel Letlotlo in the travelling squad for Chiefs of late, ‘Stoppa’ will be buoyed by the fact that youth is getting a chance at Naturena, though it remains to be seen how long he will have to wait for a senior debut for the Glamour Boys.
