Orlando Pirates head coach, Eric Tinkler, says the Bucaneers need to maintain consistency now heading into a hectic schedule.
Pirates returned to winning ways in the league after securing a 3-1 win over Soweto rivals, Kaizer Chiefs, and Tinkler feels they need to build on this victory.
"You don't become a bad team overnight, I know our hasn't been great in the league but I knew one performance would change that, but it's about maintaining the consistency," Tinkler said after the game.
"We going into an important run now, we got Ajax on Wednesday and then Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout and then the CAF Confederations Cup. So this win was extremely important for us.
Tinkler also heaped praise on his side's win, which has seen them move up to 11th in the Absa Premiership standings.
"I thought we were very good today, we started the game completely well, I thought we put them under a lot of pressure, particularly in the first half, we won quite a few balls in their half and our transition was very good," Tinkler said after the game.
"Very proud of the boys, particularly the first half performance, it was very important to continue in the second, I told the players they (Chiefs) will start tiring and we'll be able to catch them on the counter.
"Obviously disappointed with the way we conceded, because we knew that was an area of strength of theirs, Issa Sarr lost him (Mathoho) but it happens. Overall impressed with the performances."
