SuperSport United striker, Kermit Erasmus, has begun his trial with Norwegian Tippeligaen outfit, Valerenga Football.
The 22-year-old joined up with the team in Spain, where they are currently holding a camp, and started his trial on Monday. He will train with the side for a week, allowing the technical team to assess what he can offer to the squad.
Erasmus’ business manager, Rob Moore, confirmed with the Siya crew that the striker started training with the Norwegian side on Monday. He said, “Yes, Erasmus started training with Valerenga today. He will be with them for a week.”
The former Feyenoord man has been linked with a move away from SuperSport for some time, with recent reports indicating that a number of the PSL giants are looking to land the talented youngster’s signature.
However, it is no secret that the South African international is wanting a move to Europe, owing to personal reasons. Last year Erasmus was linked with a move to Swedish Allsvenskan outfit Helsingborg IF, although nothing materialised in the end.
With the Norwegian transfer window closing in March, Erasmus could well be playing his football in Oslo with Valerenga in the near future.
