Orlando Pirates striker Kermit Erasmus will on Sunday come up against his former side SuperSport United for the first time in the MTN8 quarterfinal at Mbombela Stadium.
In last year's competition, SuperSport ousted Orlando Pirates, much to the dismay for the Bucs faithful. Now, Erasmus says he is ready to face his former team and put a smile back on the faces of Pirates fans after their midweek league loss against AmaZulu.
He told the Siya crew that there will be nothing for him to prove against SuperSport and that he's just looking forward to turning out with his new teammates.
"I will play for Pirates and do the job for the team. There is nothing for me to prove against SuperSport United and knowing SuperSport it will be a good game but we will be playing to win. We want to win and go all the way in the tournament," the former Amajita striker concluded.
