Orlando Pirates have received a major boost ahead of Wednesday’s clash against Maritzburg United, with the news that striker Kermit Erasmus has recovered from his bout of flu and has resumed training.
As reported by the Siya crew yesterday, Erasmus missed Monday's training session as he was still recovering from a bout of flu.
It was thought that the 23-year-old striker could miss the match against Maritzburg, but Pirates PRO, Mickey Modisane, tells the Siya crew that Erasmus could make the trip to Pietermaritzburg.
“Kermit has recovered from the flu. He resumed training this morning and the technical team will assess him and decide on whether or not he’ll play on Wednesday against Maritzburg,” Modisane told the crew.
Meanwhile, defender Rooi Mahamutsa and winger Daine Klate are out of the Maritzburg clash.
The clash will be played at Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday night at 19h30.
