Chiefs: Letlotlo Maybe, No Buchanan Debut
Kaizer Chiefs striker, Emmanuel Letlotlo, may return for the Amakhosi this evening, although Keagan Buchanan will not be given his debut.
Letlotlo and Buchanan are two of several Chiefs players who have been dealing with injuries in recent weeks, and while both have returned to full training now, only the former is in line for a place in tonight’s squad.
The 20-year-old forward was ruled out for three weeks at the end of last month, however, it appears he is on the brink of a return to action according to his head coach.
Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, Steve Komphela said, "We have a few niggling injuries. The medical team will give us an indication on Emmanuel Letlotlo, but Keagan Buchanan will not be rushed to play in this one.”
Meanwhile, Buchanan – who played in the Multichoice Diski Challenge last week – is also closing in on his debut for the club after recovering from his knee operation, and could be given his chance in the coming weeks.
Erick ‘Tower’ Mathoho is still struggling with an ankle injury and may not return yet, while Siphiwe Tshabalala is also doubtful due to his knee problem. George Lebese, however, could return.
