Former Orlando Pirates player, Edward Motale, has questioned whether the Buccaneers will be able to achieve success next season, considering the wholesale changes made at the club.
When asked about Muhsin Ertugral’s appointment and whether he can succeed next season, Motale claimed that the former Black Aces coach’s results are likely to be determined by whatever mandate he’s been handed by the club’s board.
“I know he (Muhsin Ertugral) has three years,” he told Soccer Laduma. “I don’t know what his mandate is and that’s the tricky part. I’m not sure if he’s under pressure to win silverware.”
Motale went on to say that he’s not sure if the major changes to the Pirates squad will result in success, but wished his club well for the new season.
“Half the team is leaving and then the team will be full of new players,” he continued. “So I’m not sure whether this will help them win silverware this season. But I wish them all the best.”
