Manqele Delighted With His Chiefs Start
Kaizer Chiefs' new striker Edward Manqele has spoken of his delight following his feature for the Amakhosi in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge this past weekend.
Manqele finally made his ‘long-awaited’ move to the Naturena-based outfit in the closing stages of the transfer window period and, played an integral part in Chiefs’ resounding 4-0 thumping of Jomo Cosmos in their opening fixture at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa on Sunday.
He said that it's frustrating to be on the sidelines but that seeing himself play is a very good thing.
"It was good to see myself in action. It was good to see the team win as well. We played well as a team and we deserved to win. The win and the game itself was good for my confidence as a player though I have to keep on working hard," the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker concluded.
Manqele will now look to get another starting berth in their next Diski Challenge fixture against Maritzburg United at Eldorado Park on Saturday, September 12.
Meanwhile, youngster Emmanuel Letlotlo currently lead the MDC scorers' chart with two goals for his brace against Ezenkosi.
The match against the Team of Choice will commence at 12:00.
