Edmilson Dove underwent surgery on his knee this week, with it being confirmed to the Siya crew that the reason for this was that the Mozambican international had too much wear and tear and needed to protect himself from damaging the knee any further.

"We can confirm that Edmilson Dove had a successful knee surgery and is well on his way to a full recovery! We hope to have him back for the second half of the season," City said on their official Twitter account.
According to the club, the 26-year-old is expected to be out of action for six months, which means he may only return sometime in May, or could likely miss the rest of the 2020/21 campaign.
