Manaka Wants Pirates Move

Black Leopards midfielder, Edgar Manaka, wants to further his career with Orlando Pirates in the PSL, despite attracting interest from a number of other clubs.
It was recently revealed by the Siya crew on the Soccer Laduma web and mobi-site that Leopards chairman, David Thidiela, is expected to make a decision on the player’s future.
The Limpopo-based club agreed that the player would be allowed to leave if Leopards did not beat Polokwane City in their final play-off game that was played last weekend.
The Kempton Park-born player, who caught the attention of Bucs with his fine performances in the NFD in the 2013/14 season, has attracted interest from a few other clubs including Mamelodi Sundowns, Polokwane City, Chippa United and Free State Stars.
According to a source close to Manaka, the player has made his mind up that the club he wants to join is Pirates, although his boss at Leopards, Thidiela, is likely to go for the highest bidder for his services.
“There are five clubs in total that are interested. Free State Stars is the latest club that has enquired about the player. Edgar has attracted interest from a number of clubs. He wants to go to Pirates out of all the clubs that have enquired about him. He has been advised not to consider Sundowns. The players that went to Sundowns (Raymond Monama, Tiyani Mabunda and Rodney Ramagalela) are frustrated,” said the source.
