Themba Sithole is still an important member of the technical team at Free State Stars, despite being demoted back to the position of assistant coach.
Sithole was temporarily in charge as the interim coach of Ea Lla Koto, after the management’s decision of relieving Steve Komphela of his duties last year.
However, Sithole was replaced by Kinnah Phiri in the hot seat after a string of poor results by the Bethlehem outfit. Stars also enlisted the services of Mark Harrison to help in the campaign to retain the team’s PSL status this season.
According to Soccer Laduma sources at Stars, the three coaches are working well together and are sharing the same objective of saving the team from going down to the NFD.
“The coaches are working well together. We are a team and doing things as a unit. The senior players are helping the youngsters to remain positive at all times,” said the source.
