Kerr Proud Leopards' Display In Bucs Win

The Leopards tactician was delighted the with the all-round performance, especially in the second half where they restricted Pirates going forward.

"90 minutes performance, we've been doing it in other games but only doing for 45 minutes to an hour but I see that everyday," Kerr told SuperSport TV after the game.

"What we do at training is magnificent for the players that I've got. We needed a performance today especially being at home. Credit to the players they dug in and we could have scored more goals.

"Mohammed [Anas] [towards the end] a bit rusty, a bit unlucky but he knows he can do better. We kept attacking which is what we have been doing in the past six games but we got back to a back foot and today we got on a front foot which is what I've been preaching since I've been here," he went on.

"It's character, we've allowed people to dictate like in the second-half against Stellenbosch, they were 1-0 down, they brought the game to us and we didn't deal with it. Pirates 2-0 down at half-time, same as against Chiefs but today we dealt with it. We dealt with everything they gave us.

"Credit to the players, credit to everyone that dug their heels deep, second-half they didn't create, didn't have a shot at King [Ndlovu] which for Pirates' standard I'm sure the coach is not going to be happy with that. For me I'm just delighted for all the players

"They've got to watch today's game with a bit of pride and see how they played, how good they are and they want to be. They'll have to make sure Cape Town City next Wednesday we do the same but it's going to be tough, all the games are tough. Great performance by the players," he added.
