Matsatsantsa midfielder Moses Waiswa fired from range with a solid effort in the 17th minute and forced Lee Raoul Langeveldt into a great save.

In the 26th minute, Evans Rusike was played down the left and cut inside before laying it off to Iqraam Rayners who turned and fired over the crossbar.

Soon after, Keanan Phillips guided his header to Waiswa. He turned and cuts a delightful through ball for Rayners, who surged forward down the right. It was cut back again for Bradley Grobler, but he was closed down and the chance was lost.

Shortly before the interval, Grobler played Rayners in with a quality ball. He surged forward into the box but fired his shot over again.

Just when it looked as if the game would be heading for a stalemate, Mokoena popped up in the 87th minute with a superb long-range piledriver that left Langeveldt rooted to the spot as the men from Pretoria took all three points.
