SuperSport United moved up to seventh on the DStv Premiership table despite being held to a goalless draw by Marumo Gallants on Saturday evening.
Result: Marumo Gallants 0-0 SuperSport United
Date: 23 April 2022
Venue: Peter Mokaba Stadium
Gallants recalled Celimpilo Ngema and Thabo Mnyamane, who both joined Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and Katlego Otladisa in attack while SuperSport brought back Aubrey Ngoma.
Dan Malesela's charges set the tone of the game in the early stages with combination play but they lacked the end product in the final third.
Matsatsantsa were more direct and threatening on counter-attacks, as in the 25th minute Gamphani Lungu found a pocket of space after a good turn in the box but blazed his effort wide.
Bahlabane Ba Ntwa were forced to make a change with seven minutes left of the first stanza after Mnyamane was stretchered off the field following a collision with goalkeeper Ronwen Williams and was replaced by Lerato Lamola.

Andre Arendse' troops gained the attacking momentum, as Jesse Donn came close to breaking the deadlock with a free header at the back post just before the half-time break that sailed wide.
The hosts had a bright start in the second stanza but they did not have the finishing touches to trouble Williams, who succumbed to an injury he sustained in the first stanza just before the hour-mark and he was replaced by Boalefa Pule.
Arendse took the opportunity to also withdraw Keenan Phillips, who was carrying a yellow card and brought on Kegan Johannes in a defensive move.
Gallants continued to have the momentum going forward but they were not doing enough to test substitute goalkeeper Pule.
However, Matsatsantsa got into another gear after Jamie Webber replaced Thalente Mbatha in midfield, as Thamsanqa Gabuza came close to breaking the deadlock nine minutes before time with a strike that sailed inches wide of the upright.
Gallants were more threatening in the dying minutes of the second, but they were unable to find a way past Pule as the sides settled for a share of the spoils.
As a result, SuperSport leapfrogged AmaZulu into seventh spot on the log due their superior goal difference while Malesela's men remained in 11th place, four points off the top eight.
