Stellies coach Steve Barker made one change with Nathan Sinkala coming in for Ashley du Preez. Meanwhile, Arrows were unchanged.

In the 22nd minute, Deano van Rooyen was beaten down the right hand side and the ball was cut back across the face of goal but Sibusiso Mthethwa came to the rescue for Stellies as he cleared the danger.

Arrows were dominating possession but were unable to break down the Stellies defence. Michael Gumede found himself with time and space and hit one from just outside the box that was straight at Lee-Raoul Langeveldt in the end.

Soon after, Arrows won possession back and played it up the near side before a good cross into the box found Michael Gumede, whose attempt went wide.

Shortly after the interval Know Mutizwa delivered a free-kick into the box and Stellies failed to clear their lines with the ball falling to Seth Parusnath, who hit it on the volley and over the bar. The ball falls in front of Parusnath who connects on the full but its off the top of his boot and over the bar

On the hour mark, a long throw from Marc van Heerden caused chaos in the Arrows box as the ball fell kindly to Stanley Dimgba, but he shanked his effort well wide.

Three minutes later, another long throw from Van Heerden found Junior Mendieta, who also sent his effort wide as Arrows breathed a sigh of relief

In the 69th minute Nathan Sinkala clipped it over the top for Jayden Adams, who skipped past his marker and let fly forcing Sifiso Mlungwana into a decent save.

Stellenbosch were having to soak up plenty of pressure as Arrows began to pin them in their own half in the final 20 minutes but the men from the Winelands held on for a point.
