There has been concerns among the Mamelodi Sundowns faithful following two consecutive losses in the four-team tournament in Zambia that the club is participating in.
Sundowns have been preparing for the second round of the season with a series of friendly games in the neighbouring country. They went down 3-2 to home side Power Dynamos in the opening game, before succumbing to DRC side Don Bosco with a 1-0 score line, and will be out to redeem themselves in their last game on tour, against Zesco United on today. However, the Mamelodi-based outfit managed a 1-0 victory against Zambian champions, Nkana FC, courtesy of a cheeky back heel from Elias Pelembe.
The Chloorkop side are up against Kaizer Chiefs next week Thursday, and a win today will boost morale in camp, especially with it being a top-of-the-table clash.
On the positive, Pitso Mosimane has been able to give game time to the likes of Thamsanqa Sangweni, Sibusiso Kumalo, Tiyani Mabunda and Surprise Moriri, who have largely been on the fringes in their domestic campaign.
