Downs Midfielder Waits On Overseas Trial

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Mumuni Abubakar is waiting on his paperwork to be finalised before leaving for his trial in Belgium.

Soccer-Laduma revealed that the player’s agent, Ralph Nkomo, has organised a trial for the player at Belgian club Cercle Brugge.

Nkomo has confirmed to the Siya crew that all arrangements have been made for the 19-year-old to leave for his trial at the Belgian outfit. “It should be some time soon. We are just waiting for his Visa. He will go and start the trial. The trial starts on June 22,” said Nkomo.

Abubakar struggled for game time at Sundowns during his time with the club and could leave Chloorkop after just one season with the team.

The midfielder’s countryman Emmanuel Baffour, who has also struggled for game time at Sundowns, could also be allowed to leave either on loan or permanently.
