Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Themba Mnguni is thankful for the support he has received following the horrific motor vehicle accident he was involved in earlier this year.
The former football star and his 13-year-old son, Tshepi, were fortunate to escape with injuries from the accident that took away the life of Mnguni’s eight-year-old daughter, Nokukhanya.
“I am recovering very well my brother. The support that I’m getting from everyone has lifted me up. My team, Sundowns, has been behind me fully every time. My family and people in general have been supporting me.
"I am getting strong. My boy Tshepi is okay. He sustained minor injuries on his forehead and back. According to scans and all the medical procedures he is okay,” said Mnguni.
Mnguni told the Siya crew that he is enjoying his role in the Sundowns development structures, coaching the up and coming football stars.
