SuperSport United winger, Sameehg Doutie, could be on his way out of the club soon, with a number of clubs said to be interested in landing him.
The 24-year-old has featured in the majority of Matsatsantsa’s games so far this season, though has only managed to score one goal and grab one assist.
It was revealed by the Siya crew back in January that SuperSport had turned down ‘two firm written offers’ for the attacking midfielder from a Russian club, now known to be FC Rostov, with Doutie eventually staying with Matsatsantsa.
Now, however, his representative, Paul Mitchell of Siyavuma Sports, says that the interest is growing.
He told the crew, “There is interest in Sameehg both locally and overseas, and there were two offers that came in at the end of the season, but at that time they didn’t suit SuperSport United.
“We will be sitting down over the weekend to look at the future, but ultimately he is a SuperSport United player and that is where his loyalties lie at the moment. He’s a top player, and a player of his ability will always be on the radar of other clubs.”
It is thought that Doutie’s former coach, Gavin Hunt, who is now at Wits, could well attempt to lure the winger to Braamfontein, while Mamelodi Sundowns may also be keen on acquiring him.
