Ajax Cape Town midfielder Keagan Dolly has expressed his delight at being called up to the Bafana Bafana squad to face Morocco in an international friendly next Friday, after the Siya crew contacted the player to congratulate him on the achievement.
Dolly has performed well for the Urban Warriors despite results not going the club’s way, which was well noted by Bafana head coach Gordon Igesund.
The talented midfielder wasn’t yet aware of the fact that he had been called up to the national side when the Siya crew contacted him to congratulate him on this achievement, though was ecstatic on his inclusion.
Dolly told Soccer-Laduma, “My coach (Muhsin Ertugral) spoke to me about it, but I didn’t think it would actually happen so soon. It would be great to play for the national team.”
Dolly will form part of a 23-man squad set to face Morocco in Agadir City on October 11, which could see the midfielder make his senior debut.
Along with Dolly, Wits captain Sibusiso Vilakazi, who has put in some true captain’s performances in recent weeks, has also been called up.
