AmaZulu midfielder,Goodman Dlamini, has been selected as the club’s Player of the Month for December.
According to the KZN club, the Nongoma-born player was presented with a cheque of R2000 and a voucher for a night’s stay for two at Suncoast Hotel Towers by the management of the side, as part of the prize for winning the award.
It is the second successive time that 'Deco', as Dlamini is known in football circles, has won the award this season.
“I’m happy but I must admit I wasn’t expecting to get the award for the second consecutive month. I think I’ve been working hard but I’d like to thank my teammates for the support because we’re working together towards getting the team to a respectable standard,” Dlamini told the club’s official website.
AmaZulu General Manager, Peter O’Connor, told amazulufc.net, “In the last few months Goodman has done extremely well for the club and his teammates, hopefully he can maintain that in the second round. He’s raised the bar for other players and we’re delighted to have signed new players in Ruzaigh Gamildien and Nhlanhla Shabalala as that will enhance the quality in the team going forward.”
