NWU did well in this year’s Varsity Cup, losing in the semis to eventual winners UP Tuks, in a slender 1-0 defeat.
Dikwena have played just one game since their recent MTN8 victory, that game resulting in a 2-0 win over Maritzburg United in the TKO.
Now, after winning their first piece of silverware since 2006, they will no doubt have one eye on grabbing a cup double this season, should they manage to overcome Sundowns later this month.
The game between Allan Freese’s men and NWU will be open to the public who will be able to watch the MTN8 champions in action.
