The tie will be the 17th league game between the sides, with Usuthu having the upper hand in results so far, winning eight of those encounters.
Meanwhile, Dikwena have beaten AmaZulu six times out of 16, with just two of the games ending in a draw.
The last time these two teams met was back in March when a 1-0 win for Usuthu put a dent in Stars’ title ambitions, something that the visitors will be looking to avoid this time around.
However, AmaZulu have only lost at home to Stars twice since 2003/04, and they will no doubt be eager to make sure that tally doesn’t increase on Wednesday night.
As it stands, Allan Freese’s side are fourth, just four points off leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns, while Craig Rosslee’s AmaZulu are in seventh place.
The two teams go head to head at Princess Magogo Stadium at 19h30 on Wednesday night.
