Platinum Stars beat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 at the FNB Stadium on Saturday night, in the semi-final of the Telkom Knockout Cup.
Platinum Stars will meet Orlando Pirates in the final on the seventh of December at the Mbombela Stadium.
In the ninth minute Reneilwe Letsholonyane tried a long range shot, but the ball went wide to the right.
In the 13th minute Keagan Ritchie had a shot at goal from the left of the box, but Siyabonga Mpontshane was able to parry it. It fell back to Ritchie, who squared the ball for Bernard Parker, but his shot from the edge of the area went safely into Mpontshane's hands.
In the 20th minute Henrico Botes tried a shot from forty yards out, but it sailed across goal and wide.
In the 27th minute Tintswalo Tshabalala sent in a deep free kick that flew over everyone, and Itumeleng Khune had to be aware to make the save.
Morgan Gould had a chance in the 31st minute, but his headed attempted from a Siphiwe Tshabalala corner was too high and went over the goal.
In the 36th minute, Letsholonyane had a good chance as he ran into the box, but his shot went straight at Mpontshane who was able to parry it away.
In the 41st minute Mpeta sent in a good shot from outside the box, but Khune was able to tip it over the goal.
In the 44th minute Parker tried from a free kick just outside the box, but his shot hit the crossbar and bounced back into play.
Just before half-time Willard Katsande tried a long range effort, but it went high and wide, and it remained goalless at the break.
The second half started with Botes trying to catch Khune off his line with a shot from the half-way line, but Khune was aware.
A minute later Tintswalo Tshabalala tried from a long range free kick, but Khune got down well to save.
In the 51st minute George Lebese had a shot but Mpontshane was able to block it, but it fell to Parker, who could only shoot over.
A minute later Tintswalo Tshabalala tried a long range effort, but it took a deflection and went out for a corner.
Platinum Stars grabbed the lead in the 53rd minute when Semenya found the ball at his feet from the resulting corner, and rolled it in to the bottom left corner.
In the 61st minute Lebese chose to square to Majoro rather than shoot, and Majoro was unable to get a proper shot off.
In the 80th minute substitute Knowledge Musona burst into the box well but his shot went across the goal and wide.
In the 85th minute Musona had a chance but his shot blazed over the goal, as Dikwena held out for the win.
