Platinum Stars may have won only one game in the PSL so far this season, but they remain unbeaten and are averaging two goals per game, a figure only matched by SuperSport United.
Allan Freese’s men started their 2013/14 campaign with a 0-0 draw against Wits, although have scored 10 goals in the four games that followed.
This weekend they face Free State Stars, who are averaging 1.25 goals a game, as they look to keep up their five-game unbeaten start to Freese's reign at the club.
Another interesting fact is that Dikwena have the second best pass count in the league, making 416 passes per game with a success rate of around 85%. Only Mamelodi Sundowns have a higher pass per game count, of 449.
Some had believed that last season’s PSL runners-up would struggle following the departure of Cavin Johnson, however they seem to have kept the spirit and style of play that Johnson left in Phokeng, with Freese doing well to keep their momentum from last season going forward.
