The Siya crew were yesterday given a lead that linked Nigerian international striker Emmanuel Emenike with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns, however his former club boss, Errol Dicks, has since rubbished the rumour.
Emenike, who spent a year playing for South African side FC Cape Town, before a move to Turkish club Kardemir Karabükspor, has been linked with a transfer away from his current team, Spartak Moscow, for some time.
However, after investigating the rumour by speaking to his former boss, Dicks, a man who still has shares in the player, it seems that the 26-year-old will not be returning to Mzansi.
Dicks explained that there is no chance of the Nigerian international joining the Brazilians, but that he there is a possibility of him moving to either Galatasaray or English Premier League club, Liverpool.
The forward played a crucial role in Nigeria’s recent African Cup of Nations win and it is thought that he will make a decision on his next step at some point during the next week.
