A dejected football intermediary has commented on a missing South African footballer who disappeared while abroad, in an attempt to further his career.
Last month, footballer Thulani Cele left home with the hope of getting an opportunity abroad with FC Gagra, which is a club based in Georgia.

However, the 22-year-old has since gone missing after being away for almost a month for the proposed trials that never took place and there are fears that he might have been arrested in Georgia while trying to make his way back to Mzansi on June 02.
Cele is a product of the Nedbank Ke Yona talent search program and in 2019 he was offered a professional contract at AmaZulu after training with the club as part of the competition rules.
Meanwhile, football agent Collen ‘Baggio’ Mashawa has spoken to the Siya crew about the missing player.
“I’m heavy-hearted and at my lowest point at this stage. I’m finding it difficult to process anything. I’ve been receiving quite a number of calls and it’s been very tough. It’s been a torrid and difficult time for those that are affected,” he said.

“I’m finding it very difficult, but I find solace in prayer that we will locate Thulani for him to return home safely. Until such as time, we can only just pray and do whatever necessary to deal with this whole ordeal and situation. It’s not nice when you lose somebody under your watch, and you can’t trace them and can’t find leads. One will just have to cooperate so that we can be able to find some direction towards Thulani. This outweighs all the good that one has done as public scrutiny and fingers are levelled towards you. The good that one has done over time with other players will be overshadowed because of this whole situation. But it’s okay, one will roll with the punches, and we will weather the storm,” concluded an emotional Mashawa.
