U-Turn As New Signing Switches From PSL To NFD
Defender Leaves The PSL Team That Recently Announced Him
A defender who was recently unveiled as a signing for Polokwane City has left the club for the National First Division.
Having been announced as one of the new signings at Rise and Shine on June 27, Msekeli Mvalo was later to be released from the Limpopo outfit under new Slovakian head coach Jozef Vukusic.
The Siya crew has it on good authority that the former Cape Town All Stars defender has joined the University of Pretoria, after parting ways with Polokwane.
The 30-year-old centre-back’s signing with Tuks has been confirmed by football agent Lizwe Mthethwa.
“We are very happy that Mvalo has found a new home after the disappointment with City. It’s business and it’s not personal and we get it. We would like to thank Tebogo Monyai and the whole Tuks’ management,” said Mthethwa.
“Mvalo was the best centre back in the league last season with many clean sheets. In him, Tuks are getting a leader and hopefully a future coach as he currently holds a CAF C coaching license. He has signed a one-year deal with an option,” he confirmed.
