SuperSport United captain, Dean Furman, feels like the club have got plenty of new signings this season, despite the fact that they haven’t dipped into the transfer market much.

Matsatsantsa had a tough campaign last time out as they narrowly avoided relegation on the last day, however they did manage to finish with a trophy following their early MTN8 win.
Now, with the club having a proper preseason due to not playing in CAF competition, Furman feels that the team is revitalised, saying that the return of certain players feels like new signings going into the 2018/19 Absa Premiership season.
SuperSport have signed James Keene, Bongani Khumalo, Luke Fleurs and Washington Arubi as they bolstered prior to their opening game, and their skipper believes that they’ve done enough.
He told the media this week, “You look at some of the players who were out for long periods last season, players like Bradley Grobler and Thabo Mnyamane, Ronwen Williams too. To have them fit and firing does feel like an equivalent to new signings.
“We haven’t made wholesale changes because the club feels, and I certainly agree, that we have quality. I see players who have won leagues, won big competitions, I see internationals. I also see some exceptional talent coming through, and the challenge for them is to grab the shirt and not let go.”
SuperSport face Cape Town City this weekend as they look to get their campaign off to a winning start.
