The Pirates coach, however, does admit that it would be difficult to overcome the Stars team that has beaten Pirates twice already this season.
Dikwena beat the Buccaneers on penalties to win the MTN8 earlier this season and then completed a double by beating Pirates again in the final of the Telkom Knockout last Saturday.
“Stars have had the better of us in the two games we’ve played against them this season, but that’s in the past. This is a completely new game and we’re targeting three points from it. Hopefully, luck will be on our side this time around,” De Sa told the Siya crew.
“We have three games left before the Christmas and we want maximum points in all of them, starting with the Stars game. It’s not going to be an easy ride, but we’re up for the task at hand,” added De Sa.
Meanwhile, De Sa is hoping to have a full squad to choose from during the Stars game.
“As you know, we have Patrick Phungwayo and Siyabonga Sangweni out on long terms injuries. Now Thulasizwe Mbuyane is also struggling with an injury. There are also some guys with minor injuries, but hopefully we’ll have most of the players fit and ready to play against Stars.
“It’s been a tough season for us, but we’ll get there,” concluded De Sa.
Pirates will take on Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Monday at 15h30.
