Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa was a disappointed man following their MTN8 final defeat to Platinum Stars on Saturday night.
The Sea Robbers controlled long periods of the game and created numerous chances throughout regulation and extra-time, but in the end fell 3-1 in a penalty shootout.
De Sa feels that it was just one of those nights for his team and said that they must keep trying in a bid to improve.
"Obviously very disappointed. We controlled the game throughout and we had a lot of chances. The conditions didn't really help both sides, it makes is a scrappy affair, but we tried - and we didn't score," he said.
"All we can do is keep on trying. We keep on training, trying to get better. But you get those days when the ball doesn't go into the back of the net.
"They got the one from a set-play and they sat back. We tried to get arround the full-backs, but we couldn't score. And then on penalties it is always going to be raffle.
"Very (disappointed). Throughout the 90 minutes and extra-time I thought we were definitely the better side. There is no doubt about it. When I see the stats, I'm sure we had more possession and more opportunities.
"But at the end of the day what matters is the goals in the back of the net. They played for penalties, they got it, and they beat us. Well done to them."
