Former Maritzburg United striker, Fadlu Davids, has revealed how much he is enjoying life as an assistant coach at the club.
The 32-year-old called an end to his playing career in 2012, and soon after was appointed to be a part of the Team of Choice’s technical team.
As a player, the Cape Town-born striker started his career as a junior at Cape Town Spurs and went on to play for a number of PSL sides including Silver Stars and Manning Rangers.
Additionally, he enjoyed a fair amount of success later in his playing career at Maritzburg, before switching his attention to the coaching side.
Davids revealed how he is settling into life as an assistant coach at Maritzburg.
He told the Siya crew, “I’m really enjoying the coaching side of the game. I enjoy the practical side of organizing the practice sessions. I’ve already done my Caf B coaching badge and I’m hoping to complete my ‘A’ license soon. I’m learning a lot from Ernst Middendorp (United’s coach) as well, hey.”
