Orlando Pirates and Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has said that he is not the only goalkeeper Ghana has, so Black Stars fans shouldn’t be concerned about his lack of playing time.
Dauda said that he would support Adam Kwarasey if Kwesi Appiah chose to select the Norwegian-based goalkeeper ahead of him, just like Kwarasey supported him when he was selected.
Dauda also said that doubts he will go on loan, as Pirates have told him to be patient and his time would come.
“We have a lot of goalkeepers around so if I am not getting enough playing time, Ghanaians should not be worried,” Dauda told footy-ghana.com.
“There is Kwarasey and the rest and they are all playing for their clubs, so if Kwesi Appiah gives them the opportunity in the world cup I just have to support them.
“When I’m in the post Kwarasey always comes to me and tell me to do my best, and I think that is what I will do if he gets the nod to be in the post.
“Ghanaians love me and that is why they are all talking about my lack of playing time for my team. That is cool with me. I just have to train well, because for me I believe if I work hard I will get the chance to play again.”
“I cannot come back to Ghana on loan, or even go to another club. It is not possible because my club has told me that I have to be patient and I will get my time. So that is what I am hoping for; to get playing time and play actively”.
